this orchard, maintained through a partnership involving MA-TACF, the URI Master
Gardeners and the South Kingstown Land Trust, is part of that endeavor. Native
trees are being sought throughout the tree's former range for the breeding
program so that greater genetic diversity will be incorporated into the
resulting blight-resistant trees. TACF plans to start reintroducing trees in
forest trials by 2010 in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service and university

order, we now have 3 versions of the wording for the final paragraph of Panel
3. Version 1 is for Granville, MA; Version 2 is for the Bungy Road tree
in R.I.; and Version 3 will be used for the other 5 orchards.</font></div>
