Charlotte,

I'll be at Medway by 9am on Sat.  I may not be able to stay 'til the last tree is done but I'll stay as long as I can.  We have function I need to attend at 1 or 1:30.

Subject: [MassChestnutOrchards] Orchard Innoculation at Medway Ma

Hello All Chestnuters,

We are planning to innoculate three lines (about 110 trees) at the
Medway orchard Saturday (the 19th ), starting about 9 am.
Anyone who can come is very welcome. It is a very easily accessible
site with beautiful trees and great opportunity to learn to innoculate.
We are hoping to have three teams with four people each. (a hole
puncher, two innoculators, and a recorder /taper. Having a
team of four makes it much faster and easier. If we do get twelve
people it should only take about three hours max. Longer of
course if fewer people can make it. Even if you cannot come for the
entire time it is fine. So far only five people have told me
they are coming for sure so we really do need more help. Water, drinks,
and Yvonne's famous goodies will be provided.
I hope to see you all, and have a fun time!

The Directions to the Medway Orchard for Saturday morning are as
follows. It is in the Idylbrook Parl Conservation and Recreation area
in Medway:

From RT 495 Take exit 19 for MA-109/Medway    0.3 mi

Turn left at MA-109 E/Medway St (stop light at the end of ramp)
Continue to follow MA-109 E     2.7 mi

Turn (bear) right at MA-109 E/Highland St (you will see a church in
front of you)  go only about  220 ft to stop light

Take the 1st left onto MA-109 E/Main St (at stop light)   0.5 mi

Turn left at Winthrop St (after Choate Park which will be on your left
& on your right a Nursery School)   1.4 mi

Turn left at Partridge St (this is a narrow street, easy to miss).
There is a sign for the Idylbrook Park Conservation and Rec area. Go
straight on Partridge to the end (~1/4mi) and turn right on a gravel
drive into the Idylbrook Park Conservation area parking lot. The
orchard will be on the right side of the parking area down a mowed path
and behind some bushes/trees.

This is coming south on 495 from the north.   If you are going north
on 495 it is the same exit but you take a right on to 109E.
If you are coming fom the northeast (near Boston) you can take Rt 126
or Rt 27 South to 109W.

My cell phone number is 508 330-5326 and home is 508 836-4108 if you
want to call.
