Hi MA Chestnuters,
I have been checking the orchards this week and believe it would be
best to delay the innoculation of the Grafton orchard for at least a
week. I want to get in there and weedwhack /fertilize again. It is a
somewhat rough site on a hillside. There are about 70 trees there that
need innoculation, so having a couple teams help out there later would
be nice.
The orchard that we will really need a lot of help with is the Medway
orchard, on June 19th, weather permitting. There are about a
hundred-fifty trees there that are big enough to innoculate. It is a
nice mowed open and level area with extra space to organize several
teams ect, and with parking and playing fields nearby. I send out
directions to the orchard shortly.
If you are able to come on the 19th please let me know. Whatever time
you can spend is appreciated. Also if you have not yet been involved in
innoculations, this would be a great opportunity to learn.
