Hi All,

Jamie recently sent me information on a weed wacker that he
recommends and that I believe we need. In some of the orchards we may
have help mowing but then it is difficult to clear within the rows
because suitable equipment is not available. I am in favor of getting a
hand held trimmer with a shoulder harness so that people like me will
be able to lift it into a car, but check out both options. Jamie also
sent me a phone bridge number so that the executive committee can have
a conference call to vote on the expenditure. So John if you can find
out what a bucket truck would cost we could vote on both issues at the
same time. Are there other chestnuts around the tree that are flowering
and do you see any burrs from last year that have large nut
impressions? I am wondering if you think we can take a chance on not
bagging? Are any of the branches reachable with a orchard ladder. Gary
I believe has a 14 ft ladder. It does sound like an interesting tree
and I hope we can pollinate it.

The Phone Bridge we can use for the exec committee meeting to vote is
978-431-1111 ,code is 223

John will need at least a day or two to find out about truck costs, but
then we have to arrange a time to have the conference call. I would be
available Saturday morning and most of the day Sunday, as well as most
times the following week (when I will be away visiting family) Please
let me know what times on the weekend and also next week would work for
you and I will try to sort through them and come up with a time.

Charlotte

The Executive Committee also needs to vote on the weed whacker, unless
we wait until the Summer Meeting.

Who has set these group phone calls up before... Jamie...?

We would need to have an estimate, so yes, John please find that out.
