Speaking of trees, I have been traveling extensively since last October and have missed quite a bit - sorry for the meetings I have missed - my interest in Chestnuts in not diminished however. 



  



In any case, I am hoping to be in New England for at least a few weeks the beginning of July so, once I find out if my own orchard is still there, please let me know what I can do to help others.

That is too bad.  I wonder if all the need for trucks in Worcester (Asian longhorn beetle related) for tree removal has stretched MA folks quite a bit... Did they give a reason for the change? 

We do need the trees this summer though.

I have just been politely refused by the local tree people I had thought would help me with a tree this season. This is a very easy access tree over a parking lot, and not so big it would take very much time. But it is big enough to be worthwhile to do.    Do you suppose you help find a truck?
