Hi All,
Sorry I've been out of touch. Busy end of school year, out of town company and a major lightning strike on my house has set me back from my chestnut duties.
I'll be at the Summer Board meeting and would be glad to carpool with any people who want to make a southern route (pike to?)
Now that I am mostly back on line with my life and electronics I plan to work on the following:Seedlings UpdateTower Hill Orchard Conversion to Demonstration Orchard [by the way all 5 trees we thought might have resistance are still alive :-).]Help out with our table at the RI conference. (not the 24 or 25th but any other days)
I understand that pollination and inoculation has been tough in our rainforest-like climate of late. Trees are way behind (at least 2 weeks around here)

Subject: [MassChestnutOrchards] Summer Board Meeting

Hi All,
Since I went home ill from the Spring board meeting, I don't believe we set a date for the summer board meeting out at Brian Clark's Farm in Western MA.

I propose we hold it a litle later that usual, Sunday August 2, starting at our usual time of 10AM.

Brian, please send an address or directions to your farm so I can add it to the Adjenda.

I will send out an Adjenda in early July.

I think Carpooling would be helpful to many people. The Rest area just after exit 35 on Rt 2 in Fitchburg has a good amount of parking, let's meet there at 9AM, I can take 4 in my car.Let me know if want to ride out from there.

Would someone like to be the contact person for a similar carpool down south say Exit 10 A ( RT 146) off the Mass Pike? Lots of parking there at the park and ride, let me know

thanks,
-Jamie
