Hello All,
Christmas and Hanukkah wishes come to you all from Cabot, Arkansas. Hope this finds you all healthy, free from (shoveling) back strain, and storing up energy and enthusiasm for the '09 chestnut growing season.

Rufin shared the news of your orchards' coping with the recent ice storm Sorry to hear of the damage at Brian's farm, but happy to read that there was relatively little damage elsewhere. Now you all have winter snow to contend with.

Gerry and I hope to visit your orchards in the fall of '09 when we come northeast for family reunions. Wish we could come when orchards are abloom. Perhaps another year. Our little "orchard" on our property consists of Chinese, chinquapin, and hybrids of the same. We hope to put in more pure chinquapin in the spring - 15 or so - as we've given away the balance of our seed.
